Grating FRP Australia was established with a partnership between Peter Byett and Warren Blay. The partnership was formed to supply and service local industry with quality products with standards of excellence.

Warren Blay

Warren has been in the Mining industry for over 17 Years based as a Mechanical Fitter 1st Class Machinist then currently completing a certificate in Mechanical Engineering.

Warren moved into a Supervisor's role and Managed Pit Top Mining Perth for three years and moved to New Zealand to Manage BHP New Zealand Steel Conveyor Maintenance contract. Returning to Perth Warren has been involved in several major projects with G&F Betline such as the construction of HIY Yandi Conveyor systems for Flour Daniels and Yandi One and Two Mines.

Peter Byett (Consultant)

Peter brings with him 32 years experience in the mining and maintenance industry.

Peter is a Qualified Fitter and Machinist with experience in areas such as conveying systems,Fluid Power, Hydraulics ,Condition Monitoring, Welding ,Pump Application and Maintenance, Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Maintenance (Plastic Welding), Safe lifting Courses ,Overhead Crane Training , dogman ,.cert 4 trainer, situation leadership 2 trainer .Other Training includes: Experiential Training and Development, Covey Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Accident Incident Investigation Training Course, Safety Rep Training Promoting Safe Behaviour in W.A. Minerals Industry, Handling Asbestos in the Workforce, Safety Training Enhancement Program (Behavioural Base Program) Det Norske Veritas certificate of training in Modern Safety Management Course. Peter has held such positions as tradesperson, training co-ordinator, Planner, Trainer in Behaviour Safety Programs, Sales, and Safety Consultant.

As can be seen from the above both Warren and Peter have had extensive technical experience in Mining and Associated Industries. They will be able to provide sound advice backed up with practical experience.
